Many updates / resynch after Hackathon

In response to a bunch of changes (and ideas) from the Hackathon, I am about to mangle the source code in CodePlex to do some refactoring, unbreaking, gardening, etc. If you try to check in while I am in there churning, there may be problems. I will report back when done. Wish me luck!

Looks like WP7 supports the iCal format for the events, so if we add a download for that it should cover the phone too.

First pass of changing all views to use Razor. NOTE: The Events views are untested!! (Didn't have the devfabric running locally)

Thoughts from updating the views to Razor:

We could use RenderPartials - especially on the index page. FAQ and Agendas could be broken up.

We could use the dynamic ViewBag in MVC3 instead of the existing ViewData[" "] dictionary

The a hrefs could be changed to use HtmlLinks / Url.Content

Are the pages under /Account used? You can hit them directly but I don't see any links from the index

A few missing files that are in the csproj but not checked in. I did not create razor views for these:

/Views/Home/Sponsors.aspx
/Views/Webmaster/Validate.aspx
{Test Project}/Controllers/ConstantContactTests.cs

Perhaps live meeting or skype might work? Maybe even a good old fashioned IRC chat? I don't want my lack of wheels to slow you guys down though.

I was planning on taking a look at the wp7 source Bill posted and/or possibly moving the code to MVC3 / Razor since the <% %> make my eyes bleed.

Fellow humans,

Intend to join you guys today no matter what. Able to break away from my projects and hope to contrubute in any away I can. I am going to attempt the light stuff today such "Create a Worker Role that will create Thumbnails in the background for images" . And if I have more time than I will attempt the UI stuff.

Created Issue: Image urls in oData feed are relative [13027]

I'm trying to write a mobile app or browser extention, but the images aren't showing up in the description html for the Events topic.
Since images are spit out as relative path to blob storage, you can't actually get them (or a valid url to them) through the oData rest api. It would be nice to have them served up on a separate server and have the oData feed point to the url.

There might be a work around for this, but I'm not sure what that would be?

Disappointed as it sounds like there are lots of great ideas being tossed around.
